Otto Taimela spent a lot of time on rocky hills near the Helsinki Olympic Stadium in August 2019 trying to record rustles of wind while being disoriented by sunsets. The producer was influenced by shoegaze and UK garage, of which the latter must have unconsciously influenced the chopped up R&B vocal sample on the track. The string sounds are
influenced by the track Joga by Björk, whom Taimela credits as the world’s greatest musician. The notes on this song are quite minimalistic, but the echo and rustle create a full and lush soundscape towards the end of the track.
