Marxist Utopia, DJ Lifegoals’ progressive new track, starts as a tribute to balearic Ibiza classics from the 80’s, then slowly transforms into pulsating 150 bpm trance. Melancholic bossanova downtempo gives way to menacing rhythm of angry mobs burning SUVs when carefree consumerism comes to a halt as climate change becomes painful reality.

The EP includes three diverse remixes from Finnish producers Keiska, RAD and Forces. Keiska, who came into public awareness when Berlin’s revered Creamcake records released his debut Powerpoint EP, takes things to a more contemporary direction by his straightforward riot-inducing rave remix. Prolific producer-duo, Helsinki’s club-favourite RAD pick up where the original left off and offer a pure 1998-style trance track. Finally Forces, whose latest album Climate Denial Machine has recently gotten positive attention e.g. in Resident Advisor, takes the more subtle and melancholic elements of the original and beautifully transforms them into an experimental track of his own.
