Jukka-Pekka Kervinen is a Finnish composer, electronic musician, writer and visual artist. His works are mainly focused on various algorithmic systems, programmed by the composer himself, from avantgarde chamber music to techno, IDM, glitch and ambient. As Air is a work recorded real time using Reaktor, and a set of ChucK programs for
manipulating samples and loops algorithmically during the session. Non-programmed sound parameters are improvised and adjusted manually by composer. The atmosphere on the track reminds of a factory or a railway station – or something else, it's up to the listener's imagination.
